How to use Pitamed-EZ Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pitamed-EZ Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Pitamed-EZ Tablet works Pitamed-EZ Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pitavastatin and Ezetimibe. Pitavastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL) while raising "good" cholesterol (HDL) levels. Ezetimibe is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor which prevents absorption of cholesterol from the intestines. Together, they provide better reduction of cholesterol in your body.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Pitamed-EZ Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Pitamed-EZ Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
Pitamed-EZ Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pitamed-EZ Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Pitamed-EZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pitamed-EZ Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
Pitamed-EZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Pitamed-EZ Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Pitamed-EZ Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver disease.
If a dose of Pitamed-EZ Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
