In Sneezing and runny nose due to allergies Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet is used to treat an itchy, stuffy or runny nose, sneezing, or other symptoms caused by seasonal hay fever (allergic rhinitis). It works by reducing certain substances in the body called histamines that are responsible for the allergic symptoms. It also reduces swelling inside the nose and thus decreases symptoms such as stuffy nose. This helps in easy breathing and makes you feel better.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Rupatadine and Montelukast, which treats sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Rupatadine is an antiallergic which blocks the action a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

Kidney

Because of the limited information, use of Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with kidney disease.

Liver

Caution Advised: Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Limited information is available on the use of Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

If a dose of Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet to help relieve symptoms of allergy such as runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and cough. Be cautious�while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drink alcohol while taking Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet as it may cause increased sleepiness. Dry mouth may occur as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help. Stop taking Montilar Rup 10mg/10mg Tablet at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.
