In Epilepsy : Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet slows down electrical signals in the brain which cause seizures (fits). It can also help reduce symptoms such as confusion, uncontrollable jerking movements, loss of awareness, and fear or anxiety. The medicine can allow you to do some activities that you would otherwise be forbidden or scared to do (such as swimming and driving). It can take a few weeks for this medicine to work (because the dose has to be increased slowly) and during this time you may still have seizures. Do not stop using this medicine even if you feel well, until your doctor advises you to. Missing doses may trigger a seizure.

How to use Valpran Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
How it works
How Valpran Tablet works Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet is a combination of two antiepileptic medicines: Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Valpran 33mg/45mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
