How it works

Zolfen Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, diphenoxylate and furazolidone, which treats diarrhea. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which blocks the action of acetylcholine (a chemical messenger), thereby relaxing the muscles of stomach and intestines. Diphenoxylate is an opioid agonist which works by decreasing contraction of the intestines making the stools more solid and less frequent. Furazolidone is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria and other diarrhea-causing microorganisms by damaging their DNA.Zolfen Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, diphenoxylate and furazolidone, which treats diarrhea.
