In Treatment of Nausea : Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup blocks the action of chemicals in the body that can make you feel or be sick. It is often used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by cancer chemotherapy and radiation treatment (in adults and children aged 4 years and older). It is usually taken both before and after chemotherapy or radiation. This medicine helps you recover more comfortably from these treatments. It is also effective at preventing nausea and vomiting after an operation (in adults only). The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but always take this medicine as it is prescribed.
Side effects of Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup in children Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they�re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Consult your child�s doctor if these side effects persist or bother your child. How can I give Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup to my child?Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Mytron Syrup works During radiotherapy, chemotherapy, abdominal infection, or any major surgeries, the dead cells in the body start releasing a chemical called serotonin directly into the blood. Later, this stimulates special centers in the body that are responsible for inducing vomiting in your child. Giving Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup just before the procedure helps block the effect of this chemical on vomiting centers of the brain and prevents vomiting.
Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup is recommended.
Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mytron 2mg/5ml Syrup may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.In severe liver disease, do not exceed the prescribed dose and consult your child�s doctor.
Stay calm. Administer the missed dose once recalled. But if it's nearly time for the next one, skip the missed dose. Never double up on doses and stick to the prescribed dosing plan.
