How it works

How Methermat Injection works Migraine headaches are thought to result from the dilatation of blood vessels in the head. Methermat 0.2mg Injection is a serotonin�receptor�antagonist. It works by maintaining the level of serotonin (chemical messenger) in the brain, thus prevents the transmission of pain. It also�inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory neuropeptide (chemical messenger) which is responsible for migraine pain. Again, it works on the activation of 5-HT1D receptors to narrow down the blood vessels to alleviate the pain.

Alcohol

Consult your Doctor: Please consult your doctor regarding the safety of consuming alcohol with Methermat 0.2mg Injection . Experts have not found evidence of alcohol impairing the effectiveness of the medicine.

Pregnancy

Methermat 0.2mg Injection is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding

Avoid taking zolmitriptan, almotriptan, sumatriptan, rizatriptan, and frovatriptan for 24 hours after Methermat 0.2mg Injection. Do not take Methermat 0.2mg Injection for 6 hours after any of these medications. Eletriptan and Methermat 0.2mg Injection should not be taken within 24 hours of each other.
