Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes and relieves the pain associated with heartburn and acid reflux. You should take it exactly as it is prescribed for it to be effective. Some simple lifestyle changes can help reduce the symptoms of GERD. Think about what foods trigger heartburn and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight and try to find ways to relax. Do not eat within 3-4 hours of going to bed. In Peptic ulcer disease Peptic ulcer disease is a condition in which painful sores or ulcers develop in the inner lining of the stomach or gut (intestine). Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes which prevents further damage to the ulcer as it heals naturally. You may be given other medicines along with this medicine depending on what caused the ulcer. You need to keep taking the medicine as it is prescribed for it to be effective, even if the symptoms seem to disappear.

Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Lafutidine and Domperidone, which relieves symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Lafutidine is an H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Driving

Kidney

Caution Advised: Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.

If a dose of Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet helps relieve acidity and heartburn. It is a well tolerated and safe medicine with very low incidence of side effects. It should be taken before meals as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Avoid taking soft drinks, citrus fruits like orange and lemon while taking this medicine. These can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Futaden D 10 mg/30 mg Tablet as it may irritate your stomach and also cause excessive drowsiness. Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever, or stomach pain that does not go away.
