How it works
Dysvon M 5 mg/500 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Metoclopramide and Paracetamol. Metoclopramide is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. This prevents nausea and vomiting caused due to migraine. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and fever associated with migraine.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Dysvon M 5 mg/500 mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Dysvon M 5 mg/500 mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Dysvon M 5 mg/500 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
