How it works
How Azyxin Plus Tablet works Azyxin Plus 500 mg/75 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Azithromycin and Ambroxol which treat respiratory tract infection associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Azithromycin.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Azyxin Plus 500 mg/75 mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Azyxin Plus 500 mg/75 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
