How it works
How Azimax AX Tablet works Azimax AX 250mg/75mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Azithromycin and Ambroxol which treat respiratory tract infection associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Azithromycin.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Azimax AX 250mg/75mg Tablet.
Azimax AX 250mg/75mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
