Take it regularly and make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthy and staying active) to maximize the effectiveness of this medicine. Keep taking it even if you feel well. Antistat 20mg Capsule is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-Co A-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides, raising the level of "good" cholesterol (HDL).

Not Safe: Antistat 20mg Capsule is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
Not Safe: Antistat 20mg Capsule is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
SAFE - Antistat 20mg Capsule does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Antistat 20mg Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Antistat 20mg Capsule is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Caution Advised: Antistat 20mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Antistat 20mg Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Antistat 20mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
If you happen to miss a dose of Antistat 20mg Capsule , take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your usual schedule. Avoid taking two doses within a 12-hour interval.
