In Pain relief Softel Kid Tablet DT is a combination of medicines used to treat aches and pains. It blocks chemical messengers in the brain that tell us we have pain. It is effective in relieving pain caused by headache, migraine, nerve pain, toothache, sore throat, period (menstrual) pains, arthritis and muscle aches. To obtain the maximum benefit, follow the prescribed instructions precisely. Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time. In Treatment of Fever Softel Kid Tablet DT is also used to reduce a high temperature (fever). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever. It may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
How can I give Softel Kid Tablet DT to my child?Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Softel Kid Tablet DT can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Softel Kid Tablet DT contains Mefenamic acid and paracetamol as its active ingredients. Both these ingredients are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Softel Kid Tablet DT works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain, and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Caution Advised: Softel Kid Tablet DT should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Softel Kid Tablet DT may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Softel Kid Tablet DT is not recommended in children with severe kidney disease.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Softel Kid Tablet DT is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Softel Kid Tablet DT is recommended. Regular monitoring of the liver by getting liver function tests (LFT) is recommended if your child is taking Softel Kid Tablet DT for a long time.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
