How Sitabest Tablet works Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: sitagliptin and metformin. Sitagliptin help your pancreas produce more insulin, facilitate effective use of insulin by the body, and reduce excess sugar that your liver makes. Metformin is a biguanide which lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from intestines and increases the body's sensitivity to insulin. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If a dose of Sitabest 50mg/1000mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
