Do not chew, crush or break it. Pyronil 125 mg/2.5 mg Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Pyronil 125 mg/2.5 mg Tablet contains two active ingredients: paracetamol, and promethazine. These ingredients together relieve common cold symptoms. Promethazine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Pyronil 125 mg/2.5 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Pyronil 125 mg/2.5 mg Tablet is recommended. However, caution is advised in patients with severe kidney disease as it may cause excessive sleepiness in them.
Caution Advised: Pyronil 125 mg/2.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Pyronil 125 mg/2.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. The use of Pyronil 125 mg/2.5 mg Tablet is not recommended in children with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, you can administer the missed dose once you recall it. However, if it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Stick to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid giving a double dose to make up for the missed one.
