Mometasone works quickly by dramatically reducing the swelling, redness, and itching caused by allergic reactions or irritation. Due to its potency (medium to high), this medication must be used strictly under medical supervision for the prescribed duration to prevent serious side effects like skin thinning (atrophy).

Moment Cream delivers the anti-inflammatory power of Mometasone Furoate, a potent synthetic corticosteroid. • Systemic Side Effects (Rare but Serious): Adrenal suppression (HPA axis suppression) and symptoms of Cushing's syndrome if the cream is absorbed into the bloodstream due to overuse over large areas.

If you notice any signs of skin thinning, easy bruising, or if the rash worsens, discontinue use and consult your doctor.

Follow these directions exactly as prescribed by your healthcare professional:

• Cleaning: Gently wash the affected skin area with water and pat it completely dry before application.
• Application: Apply a very thin film of the cream to cover the entire affected skin area only. The cream should be gently rubbed in.

• Other Topical Steroids: Combining Mometasone with other steroid creams, lotions, or ointments (even milder ones) significantly increases the overall steroid load and the risk of both local and systemic side effects. This combination should be strictly avoided unless advised by a specialist.

Topical use of potent steroids carries a minimal systemic risk, but caution is required in patients with certain pre-existing conditions:

• Active Infections: Corticosteroids can mask the signs of an active bacterial, viral, or fungal skin infection and may allow it to spread. The infection must be treated concurrently with an appropriate anti-infective agent.
• Diabetes: Rarely, in sensitive patients or with prolonged, excessive use, systemic absorption could potentially cause minor fluctuations in blood sugar control.
• Pre-existing Adrenal Suppression: Patients with a history of HPA axis suppression should use potent topical steroids with extreme caution due to the risk of exacerbating the condition.

The typical recommended daily dose of Moment Cream cream is a single, thin application once per day to the affected area. The exact dosage, frequency, and course length are determined solely by your healthcare provider based on the type, severity, and location of your skin condition. For adults, the maximum duration of continuous treatment should generally not exceed four weeks, and for children, it should be significantly shorter. Always adhere strictly to your doctor's prescribed course to ensure safety and effectiveness.

If you forget to apply Moment Cream cream, apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is already very close to the time for your next scheduled application (e.g., within 12 hours), simply skip the missed dose and resume your regular treatment routine. You should never apply the double quantity of cream to compensate for a forgotten dose, as this significantly increases the risk of local side effects without improving the therapeutic outcome.
