In Cough Kufnil-A Syrup gives relief from cough by loosening thick mucus and making it easier to cough it out. It also makes it easier for air to move in and out of your airways. This reduces the frequency of coughing and makes you feel better. Menthol present in Kufnil-A Syrup soothes your throat and gives relief from irritation. This medicine usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by the doctor. Steam inhalation with few drops of eucalyptus oil can loosen mucus and reduce congestion and coughing.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Kufnil-A Syrup can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Kufnil-A Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Ambroxol, Bromhexine, Guaifenesin and Menthol which relieve cough. Ambroxol and Bromhexine are mucolytics which thin and loosen mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and further helps in its removal from the airways. Menthol produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.
