How Junac Gel works Diclofenac diethylamine and Methyl Salicylate are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which work by blocking the release of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Oleum lini contains essential fatty acids which further reduce swelling and improves blood circulation. Menthol produces a cooling effect on the skin. Menthol dilates the blood vessels causing a sensation of coldness, followed by an analgesic effect.
