Hqn-FT Cream

Hqn-FT Cream is a dermatological fixed-dose combination designed to manage melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and selected pigmentary disorders by targeting multiple pathways involved in skin pigmentation.

Fluocinolone Acetonide is a low-potency topical corticosteroid that suppresses local inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and cytokines. In pigmentary disorders, inflammation often worsens melanocyte activity and causes irritation during active depigmenting therapy. Fluocinolone helps reduce redness, burning, and irritation associated with treatment while improving tolerability.

Hydroquinone is a depigmenting agent that inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, which plays a key role in melanin synthesis. By reducing melanin production in melanocytes, Hydroquinone gradually lightens dark patches and uneven pigmentation. It is one of the most widely used topical depigmenting agents in clinical dermatology.

Tretinoin is a retinoid derived from vitamin A that increases epidermal cell turnover, promotes shedding of pigmented keratinocytes, and improves penetration of Hydroquinone into deeper skin layers. It also helps reduce epidermal thickening and supports smoother skin texture.

The triple combination is considered highly effective because it addresses inflammation, melanin production, and epidermal renewal simultaneously. However, because skin sensitivity may occur, treatment is generally prescribed for controlled durations with careful sun protection.

This medicine is usually applied once daily at night in a thin layer over affected skin only.

• Avoid excessive sun exposure: Sun exposure can worsen pigmentation and reduce treatment effectiveness, so regular sun protection is essential.

• Follow a gentle skincare routine: Avoid products or habits that trigger irritation, as irritated skin may become more sensitive during treatment.

• Limit foods that trigger facial flushing if sensitive: In some individuals, very spicy foods or excessive heat exposure may aggravate facial redness.

Hqn-FT Cream may interact with:

• Other Topical Retinoids: Concurrent use may increase peeling, redness, and skin sensitivity.

• Topical Steroids: Additional steroid use may increase the risk of skin thinning if prolonged.

• Benzoyl Peroxide Preparations: Combined use may increase dryness and irritation and may reduce tolerability.

Hqn-FT Cream should be used carefully in:

• Sensitive Skin Disorders: Individuals with highly reactive skin may experience increased irritation, burning, or redness.

• Eczema: The retinoid component may worsen dryness and irritation in eczematous skin.

• Rosacea: Tretinoin and Hydroquinone may aggravate facial redness and sensitivity in rosacea-prone individuals.

• Active Dermatitis: Inflamed skin may become more irritated during treatment.

• Sunburned Skin: Application on sunburned skin may increase burning and discomfort.

• Broken or Damaged Skin: Absorption may increase and irritation may become more severe when applied to damaged skin.

The dose depends on severity and area involved. Usually applied once daily at night in a very thin layer as prescribed by your doctor.

If you miss an application, apply it when remembered unless the next application is due soon. Do not apply extra quantity.
