How to use Astrokast M Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Astrokast M Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How it works
How Astrokast M Tablet works Astrokast M Tablet works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.
Caution: It is important to consult your doctor regarding alcohol consumption while taking Astrokast M Tablet .
Astrokast M Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Astrokast M Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Astrokast M Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Astrokast M Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Astrokast M Tablet is recommended.
Astrokast M Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Astrokast M Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Limited information is available on the use of Astrokast M Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Astrokast M Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
