Abendol Plus Syrup is a mixture of two medicines: Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. Albendazole works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die, thereby treating your child?s infection effectively.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Abendol Plus Syrup is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Abendol Plus Syrup is recommended.
Caution Advised: Abendol Plus Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Abendol Plus Syrup may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Inform your doctor if you develop signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
