Orasep Gel is a combination of two medicines: Choline Salicylate and Tannic Acid. Choline Salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) which cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the mouth. Tannic Acid is an astringent which works by forming a protective layer over mouth sores while exerting antiviral and antibacterial effects.

If you forget a dose of Orasep Gel , simply continue with your regular schedule and do not take a double dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 25�C.

Avoid eating and drinking immediately after applying Orasep Gel. Avoid putting dentures or braces back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel in your mouth. Use a soft toothbrush after consulting your dentist. Avoid spicy foods, acidic fruit drinks, and very salty foods (such as crisps) which can make the pain and sting worse. Do not smoke while using Orasep Gel as it might cause some side effects. Consult your doctor if your pain does not improve after using this medication for 7-14 days, or if your symptoms get worse.
