In Treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure) Both of the medicines in this combination work to lower blood pressure but in different ways. Together they help to relax blood vessels and make it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This lowers blood pressure. If your blood pressure is controlled you are less at risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telx AM 40/5 Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Telx AM 40/5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Telmisartan and Amlodipine. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Together, they lower blood pressure effectively.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Telx AM 40/5 Tablet 15 Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Telx AM 40/5 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Telx AM 40/5 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Not Safe: Telx AM 40/5 Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. It may cause dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Telx AM 40/5 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Telx AM 40/5 Tablet is recommended.
Caution Advised: Telx AM 40/5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Telx AM 40/5 Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
If a dose of Telx AM 40/5 Tablet 15 Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
