How to use Superspas Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Superspas Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Superspas Tablet works Superspas Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Drotaverine and Diclofenac, which relieves abdominal pain and cramps. Drotaverine is an anti-spasmodic medicine which relieves contractions (spasms) associated with smooth muscles in the abdomen. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause abdominal pain and inflammation (swelling).

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Superspas Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Superspas Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Driving

Superspas Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.Superspas Tablet may cause headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. This may affect your ability to drive.

Liver

Superspas Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Superspas Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended in patients with liver disease if this medicine is to be taken for a long time.

Superspas Tablet helps relieve abdominal pain and cramps. Take it with food to avoid getting an upset stomach. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Superspas Tablet as it can cause excessive drowsiness and increase your risk of stomach problems. It may cause a drop in your blood pressure. Monitor your blood pressure regularly and rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. Inform your doctor if you have severe kidney, liver, or heart disease.
