Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which works by reducing stress on the heart and relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently. Atorvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering medicine which works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-Co A-reductase) that is required to make cholesterol.
