It also kills the bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections. Cof Q Lozenges is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are stomach upset and sore tongue. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may also cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse. Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. Keep it out of reach of children. Dry cough
In Dry cough A dry cough is a cough where no phlegm or mucus is produced. It may cause a tickling sensation or itching in the throat and may be due to cold, flu, allergies or throat irritants. Cof Q Lozenges suppresses dry cough and gives you relief from an itchy throat. It also reduces throat infection and gives relief from soreness and pain associated with it. Along with taking Cof Q Lozenges, gargling with warm salt water and having ginger or honey can help you feel better.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Place it in your mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly. Do not chew or swallow. It may take sometime to dissolve. Cof Q Lozenges can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Cof Q Lozenges is a combination of two medicines: Amylmetacresol and dextromethorphan. Amylmetacresol is an antiseptic medicine which works by killing the bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.

Pregnancy

Driving

Kidney
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Cof Q Lozenges is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cof Q Lozenges may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.
Liver
Not Safe: Cof Q Lozenges is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Doctor consultation is advised.
If a dose of Cof Q Lozenges is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C
Cof Q Lozenges is prescribed to get relief from a dry cough. Cof Q Lozenges should be taken after every 2 to 3 hours or as suggested by the doctor. Suck one lozenge slowly as required. Do not take it for more than 3 days. Consult your doctor if you do not observe any improvement in symptoms. Do not take more than 8 lozenges in 24 hours. Each lozenge contains sugar. This should be taken into account if you have diabetes mellitus.
