In Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is a group of lung diseases that cause breathing difficulties. COPD is caused by swelling of the airways that carry air in and out of the lungs. Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet relaxes the muscles of these airways and widens it. This makes you breathe easy and gives relief from symptoms such as tightness in your chest, shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing. Avoid smoking and minimise your exposure to pollution, dust and fumes. Along with that, a little exercise each day can help you stay strong. Talk to your doctor about how much exercise is good for you.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Avoid Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Theophylline, ambroxol and salbutamol. Theophylline and salbutamol are bronchodilators which relax the muscles in the airways and widen the airways. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Together, they make breathing easier.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Breast feeding

Driving

Kidney

Caution Advised: Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Caution Advised: Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed Ambrolite St 100 mg/30 mg/2 mg Tablet for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Always keep a fast-acting (rescue) inhaler with you. If at any time your breathing gets worse or you notice muscle twitching or weakness, or an irregular heartbeat, please contact your doctor or nurse for advice straightaway. Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, high blood pressure, or diabetes. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you have used in the past 14 days, especially water pills, anti-depressant, or medicines for heart problems. Do not smoke. Smoking causes irritation and damage to the lungs and will make your condition worse.
