How to use Alticet M Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alticet M Kid Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Alticet M Tablet works Alticet M Kid Tablet contains Levocetirizine and Montelukast. Together these two relieve sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic that blocks a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.
Not Safe: Consuming alcohol with Alticet M Kid Tablet may lead to excessive drowsiness.
Alticet M Kid Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Alticet M Kid Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Alticet M Kid Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Alticet M Kid Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Alticet M Kid Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.However, use of Alticet M Kid Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Alticet M Kid Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Alticet M Kid Tablet is recommended.However, consult your child�s doctor in case of severe liver disease.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
