In Treatment of Bacterial infections Zamoxyl Dry Syrup is a versatile antibiotic medicine which can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the blood, brain, lungs, bones, joints, urinary tract, stomach and intestines. It can also be used to treat gum ulcers and other dental infections (abscesses), leg ulcers and pressure sores. It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing the infection. This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant. This medicine is generally safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding, but you should ask your doctor.
Side Effects

How to use

How it works
Zamoxyl Dry Syrup is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Zamoxyl Dry Syrup is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Not Safe: Zamoxyl Dry Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Zamoxyl Dry Syrup can have side effects and the symptoms (such as allergic reactions, dizziness and convulsions) may make you unfit to drive.
Caution Advised: Zamoxyl Dry Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zamoxyl Dry Syrup may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Zamoxyl Dry Syrup is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
