Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Diclofenac, Paracetamol and Dextropropoxyphene. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) as well as an antipyretic (fever reducer). Diclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID). Together, both of them work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain. Dextropropoxyphene is an opioid analgesic ( very strong pain reliever) which works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower the pain perception.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. Even small doses of Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet can cause infant sleepiness and decreased/altered brain function.

Driving

Not Safe: Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet may cause headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. This may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver

Caution Advised: Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet is used to treat various painful conditions. Do not take any other medicines containing Paracetamol in it without consulting your doctor. Stick to simple meals and avoid spicy rich food in order to avoid feeling sick (nausea). Drink plenty of water while taking Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet. If you have asthma, symptoms such as wheeze or breathlessness might become worse by Novodec 50mg/325mg/32.5mg Tablet. If this happens to you, consult your doctor immediately.
