Bacterial infections

In Bacterial infections Metrocline Capsule stops the growth of infectious bacteria and helps treat infections caused by bacteria. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant. Drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Headache, Dizziness, Tiredness, Metallic taste, Stomach pain, Nausea, Dryness in mouth, Indigestion, Diarrhea, Photosensitivity']

Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Metrocline Capsule can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time. Avoid Metrocline Capsule with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, paneer and ice cream.

Metrocline Capsule is a combination of two antibiotics: Metronidazole and Tetracycline. Metronidazole kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Tetracycline stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Alcohol

Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Metrocline Capsule , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Metrocline Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Metrocline Capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Use of Metrocline Capsule is not harmful in short-term because milk levels are low. Prolonged or repeated use may cause staining of babies dental enamel or bone deposition of Metrocline Capsule.

Driving

Not Safe: Metrocline Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Metrocline Capsule may make you feel sleepy, dizzy, confused. You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Metrocline Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Metrocline Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Metrocline Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

Caution Advised: Metrocline Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Metrocline Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Metrocline Capsule is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Metrocline Capsule should be taken with or without food but at the same time every day. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It may cause dizziness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how medicine affects you. It is advisable to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water to overcome medicine side effects. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication as it can enhance the dizziness. Discontinue Metrocline Capsule and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
