Drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is a combination of two antibiotics: Metronidazole and Tetracycline. Metronidazole kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Tetracycline stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Alcohol

Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

Caution Advised: Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule should be taken with or without food but at the same time every day. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It may cause dizziness. Don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how medicine affects you. It is advisable to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water to overcome medicine side effects. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication as it can enhance the dizziness. Discontinue Meklin 400 mg/333 mg Capsule and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
