It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant. Drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time. Avoid Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule with dairy products such as milk, cheese, curd, butter, paneer and ice cream.
Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is a combination of two antibiotics: Metronidazole and Tetracycline. Metronidazole kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Tetracycline stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Use of Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is not harmful in short-term because milk levels are low. Not Safe: Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule may make you feel sleepy, dizzy, confused. You may have hallucinations, fits (convulsions) or temporary eyesight problems (such as blurred or double vision) affecting your ability to drive.
Caution Advised: Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Caution Advised: Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
If a dose of Entakon M 400 mg/333 mg Capsule is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
