In Treatment of Common cold : Coldifen Tablet is a combination of medicines that effectively relieves symptoms of common cold such as blocked nose, runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, and congestion or stuffiness. It also blocks the activity of certain chemicals that causes pain and fever. An antacid present in Coldifen Tablet prevents acidity that may occur due to this medicine. This medicine is safe and effective. It usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Taking this medicine enables you to live your life more freely without worrying so much about things that set off your symptoms.
Side effects of Coldifen Tablet The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. How to use Coldifen Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Coldifen Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
How Coldifen Tablet works Coldifen Tablet is a combination of three medicines:Fexofenadine, phenylephrine, paracetamol and ambroxol which relieve common cold symptoms. Fexofenadine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Coldifen Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Coldifen Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Information regarding the use of Coldifen Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Doctor consultation is advised.
It is not known whether Coldifen Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Coldifen Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Coldifen Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Coldifen Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Coldifen Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If a dose of Coldifen Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
