How it works
WINDAMET 2MG TABLET is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Rosiglitazone and Metformin. Rosiglitazone is a thiazolidinedione which works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Metformin is a biguanide. It works by lowering sugar production in the liver, delaying sugar absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with WINDAMET 2MG TABLET as it is deemed unsafe.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: WINDAMET 2MG TABLET may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Use of WINDAMET 2MG TABLET is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
Caution Advised: WINDAMET 2MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of WINDAMET 2MG TABLET may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. WINDAMET 2MG TABLET is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
