How to use Valpramed Tablet CRFollow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valpramed 500 Tablet CR is to be taken with food.
How Valpramed Tablet CR works Valpramed 500 Tablet CR is a combination of two antiepileptic medicines: Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid.
Not Safe: Consuming alcohol with Valpramed 500 Tablet CR may lead to excessive drowsiness.
Valpramed 500 Tablet CR is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Valpramed 500 Tablet CR is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Valpramed 500 Tablet CR may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Valpramed 500 Tablet CR is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Valpramed 500 Tablet CR may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Valpramed 500 Tablet CR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Valpramed 500 Tablet CR may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Valpramed 500 Tablet CR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
