How it works
Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: ondansetron and paracetamol. Ondansetron is an antiemetic (anti-nausea medicine). It inhibits the action of serotonin, a chemical messenger that can trigger nausea and vomiting. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Caution Advised: Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. However, Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Caution Advised: Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. However, the use of Satron Plus 4 mg/500 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
