It is most likely that your child?s infection will start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. But, you must finish the full course of the medicine and never stop it abruptly by yourself as that may worsen your child?s condition or cause infection recurrence. In Treatment of Diarrhea Diarrhea is a condition in which you frequently pass loose, watery stools. Diarrhea is mainly due to bacterial infections. Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup helps treat diarrhea by killing the bacteria causing infections as well as prevents them for multiplying. Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup can relieve frequent loose motions and also help you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup also gives you relief from stomach pain in case of diarrhea. Your child may have an altered taste or furry tongue (coating of Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup on tongue) after taking Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Quit giving Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup and speak to the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
