It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Aliskiren and Hydrochlorothiazide. Aliskiren is a direct renin inhibitor. It works by blocking an enzyme (renin) which causes the blood vessels to tighten. This relaxes blood vessels, lowers blood pressure and allows the heart to pump more efficiently. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Limited information is available on the use of Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet in these patients. Regular monitoring of creatinine and potassium levels is recommended while you are taking this medicine.

Liver

Caution Advised: Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Rasilez Hct 300 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C
