How can I give Paratuf-D Oral Suspension to my child?Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Paratuf-D Oral Suspension is to be taken empty stomach.
Paratuf-D Oral Suspension contains two medicines: Domperidone and Paracetamol. Domperidone is an antiemetic that works on the vomiting center in the brain. It also increases the movement of the muscles of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. This prevents nausea and vomiting caused due to migraines. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer) which blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause the pain associated with migraine.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Paratuf-D Oral Suspension is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Paratuf-D Oral Suspension is recommended. However, dose adjustments may be required in severe kidney disease. Please consult with your child's doctor before giving the medicine to your child.
Caution Advised: Paratuf-D Oral Suspension should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Paratuf-D Oral Suspension may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. However, the use of Paratuf-D Oral Suspension is not recommended in children with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
