In Angina (heart-related chest pain) Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body and makes sure that your heart is getting a good supply of oxygen. This makes it less likely that you will suffer chest pain caused by angina. Besides, it also contains a blood thinner, Aspirin, that prevents the formation of blood clots and also prevents the existing ones from growing bigger in size. This helps the blood flow freely around your body thereby preventing a heart attack or stroke (or deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism). This medicine can help increase your ability to exercise and go about your daily life more easily by reducing the frequency of angina attacks. You should take it regularly and as long as it is prescribed for it to work effectively.

Alcohol

Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet to prevent or lower the number of chest pain attacks. Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet may cause dizziness, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. Let your doctor know you are taking Nitroprin 60 mg/75 mg Tablet before undergoing any surgical procedure. It may increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting nails, using sharp objects, or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling).
