In Tuberculosis (TB) MERSTREP 1GM INJECTION is an antibiotic medicine that is used in combination with few other medicines to treat tuberculosis, an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs but can affect other parts of the body as well. It stops the growth of infection causing bacteria and helps in treating the infection. This medicine is given by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured. Follow your doctor?s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

MERSTREP 1GM INJECTION is used for the treatment of tuberculosis, in combination with other medicines. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as MERSTREP 1GM INJECTION may cause dizziness. Your doctor may get regular blood, urine, and hearing tests while you are on this medication. Your doctor will ensure that you are well hydrated before and during treatment with this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding. Discontinue MERSTREP 1GM INJECTION and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
