In Prevention of heart attack and stroke High levels of cholesterol can cause your blood vessels to narrow (atherosclerosis) and put you at risk of having a stroke or heart disease. Lowering the amount of this fat reduces the chances of this happening and helps you remain healthier for longer. Keep taking this medicine even if you feel well.

How it works
Gochol-A Capsule IR is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-Co A-reductase) that is required by the body to make cholesterol, thereby lowering "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides and raising "good" cholesterol (HDL).
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Gochol-A Capsule IR as it is deemed unsafe.
Not Safe: Gochol-A Capsule IR is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Gochol-A Capsule IR is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Not Safe: Gochol-A Capsule IR may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Caution Advised: Gochol-A Capsule IR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gochol-A Capsule IR may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Gochol-A Capsule IR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Gochol-A Capsule IR is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
