How Furazen Tablet SR works Furazen 100mg Tablet SR is an antibiotic. It works by killing the bacteria in the urine that causes infection.
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Furazen 100mg Tablet SR , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.
Furazen 100mg Tablet SR is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Furazen 100mg Tablet SR should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Furazen 100mg Tablet SR may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Furazen 100mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Furazen 100mg Tablet SR may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Furazen 100mg Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease, who are unable to pass urine or have high creatinine levels.
Furazen 100mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Furazen 100mg Tablet SR may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.Use of Furazen 100mg Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
What if I forget to take it?
If a dose of Furazen 100mg Tablet SR is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
