How to use Erifol-H Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Erifol-H Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Erifol-H Tablet works Erifol-H Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Haloperidol and Trihexyphenidyl. Haloperidol is a typical antipsychotic. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (dopamine) in the brain that affects thoughts and mood. However, it may cause side effects such as involuntary movements (shaking of hands, muscle spasms). Trihexyphenidyl is added to treat and prevent these side effects.
Erifol-H Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Erifol-H Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.
Erifol-H Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.If Erifol-H Tablet is used, monitor the baby for excessive sleepiness.
