How it works
Dilomet Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Metronidazole, diloxanide and simethicone. Metronidazole is an antibiotic which kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Diloxanide is combined with metronidazole in case of severe intestinal infections. Diloxanide is a luminal amoebicide which acts inside the intestines to kill the infection-causing microorganisms (amoeba). Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Dilomet Tablet , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.
