In Treatment of Bacterial infections : Cefunez CV Dry Syrup contains two different medicines, Cefuroxime and Clavulanic Acid, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause infections. Cefuroxime works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefuroxime against bacteria.This combination medicine can be used to treat many different bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Side effects of Cefunez CV Dry Syrup in children Cefunez CV Dry Syrup does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they�re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Consult your child�s doctor if these side effects persist or bother your child. How Cefunez CV Dry Syrup works Cefunez CV Dry Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Cefuroxime and Clavulanic Acid. Cefuroxime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which blocks the action of enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate Cefuroxime. Addition of Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefuroxime against bacteria.
Cefunez CV Dry Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cefunez CV Dry Syrup may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
Cefunez CV Dry Syrup is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Cefunez CV Dry Syrup is recommended.However, consult with your child�s doctor before giving this medicine to your child in case of a severe form of liver disease.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
