In Osteoporosis Osteoporosis is a common condition that causes bones to become fragile and brittle so that they break (fracture) more easily. Fractures may be painful and restrict a person?s ability to carry out their normal daily tasks. Calinta Kit reduces the risk of a fracture occurring in osteoporosis. It also helps in the growth and development of bones as well as maintain strong bones. Since osteoporosis doesn?t usually have any symptoms such as pain (until a fracture occurs) you might not ?feel? any immediate benefit from your treatment with Calinta Kit. Keep taking it until your doctor asks you to stop. Along with medicines, eat a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D like dairy products, green leafy vegetables etc.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Calinta Kit is a combination of four medicines: Calcium, Calcitriol, Zinc and Ibandronic Acid which treat osteoporosis. Calcium is a form of vitamin D which helps your body effectively absorb Calcitriol and additionally supports the muscles needed to avoid falls. Calcitriol and Zinc are minerals which help build and maintain bones. Ibandronic Acid is a bisphosphonate which works by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause destruction of bone. This strengthens the bone and minimizes the risk of fractures.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Calinta Kit as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Calinta Kit may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Calinta Kit is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

SAFE - Calinta Kit does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Caution Advised: Calinta Kit should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Calinta Kit may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Calinta Kit is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Calinta Kit may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Calinta Kit is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Calinta Kit is prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis. Drink plenty of water while taking this medicine. For at least 30 minutes after taking Calinta Kit:Do not lie down or recline.Do not take any other medicine including vitamins, calcium, iron, antacids, or laxatives.Do not eat or drink anything (other than water). Along with taking Calinta Kit, maintain a healthy lifestyle, take a balanced diet, exercise (regular weight-bearing exercise) with your doctor's advice, and take proper measures to reduce the risk of falls. Let your doctor know if you�re taking an iron supplement, as the absorption rate might be affected. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, or if you have ever had kidney stones.
