In Treatment of Bacterial infections Cafage-AZ Tablet is an antibiotic medicine prescribed to treat various infections caused by bacteria. These include sinus infections (sinusitis), chest infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia, and infections of the ears, skin, throat, urinary tract, and prostate gland. Cafage-AZ Tablet also restores the level of good bacteria in your stomach and thus prevents stomach upset due to the antibiotics.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cafage-AZ Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Cafage-AZ Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Azithromycin, Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Saccharomyces boulardii. Azithromycin is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is also an antibiotic which works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Together, they eradicate your infection effectively. Saccharomyces boulardii is a live micro-organism which restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset with antibiotic use.
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Cafage-AZ Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Cafage-AZ Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Safe when prescribed by an expert: Cafage-AZ Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Not Safe: Cafage-AZ Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Caution Advised: Cafage-AZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cafage-AZ Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Cafage-AZ Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
