In Treatment of Bacterial infections : Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension helps treat infections that are caused by bacteria. It contains two medicines, Cefixime, and Clavulanic acid. Cefixime stops the growth of infection-causing bacteria. Clavulanic Acid enhances the activity of Cefixime against the bacteria as well as reduces resistance of the bacteria to the antibiotic. This medicine usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all the infectious bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Side effects of Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension in children Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they�re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Consult your child�s doctor if these side effects persist or bother your child. How can I give Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension to my child?Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Check the label for directions before use. Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
How Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension works Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension is a potent antibiotic comprising two active medicines: Cefixime and Clavulanic acid. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. By doing so, this medicine stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing and prevents the infection from spreading without making the bacteria resistant to further treatment. The second ingredient, clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It reduces resistance and enhances the activity of cefixime against bacteria.
Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.
Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension is recommended.However, consult with your child�s doctor before giving Avitacef-CL Oral Suspension to your child in case of a severe form of liver disease.
Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
