Averine R 40mg/150mg Tablet is taken without food, following the dosage and duration recommended by your doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you discontinue treatment prematurely, there is a risk of symptom recurrence and worsening of your condition. The most common side effects are diarrhea, constipation, dryness in the mouth, feeling thirsty, fatigue, and headache. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. This helps to treat abdominal pain (or stomach pain) as well as cramps, bloating and discomfort. Eventually, it will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a better, more active, quality of life.

Averine R 40mg/150mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: drotaverine and ranitidine which relieves abdominal pain. Drotaverine is an anti-spasmodic medicine. It relieves spasms associated with smooth muscles. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker (type of antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps relieve acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

If a dose of Averine R 40mg/150mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C
You will be prescribed Averine R 40mg/150mg Tablet to get relief from abdominal pain due to acidity. Avoid taking soft drinks, citrus fruits like orange and lemon, which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking this medicine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor. Do not take indigestion remedies (antacids) within two hours of taking Averine R 40mg/150mg Tablet. Incorporate the folowing lifestyle changes in order to prevent acidity:Make sure you eat regular meals and drink plenty of water.Avoid spicy and fatty fried food.Lose weight if you are obese.If you are a smoker, consider giving up.Don't drink too much alcohol.Do not go to bed immediately after taking a meal. Sit in a relaxed position for some time for better digestion.
